Nancy Topper

Nancy Topper, born January 3, 1941, was called home suddenly to our heavenly father on January 26, 2018. She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her daughter Holly (Ken); her sons Don (Teresa) and Andrew (Elaine). She has three wonderful grandchildren, Eric, Adam (Emma) and Charles. She also has a beautiful great-granddaughter Dawson Violet, whom brought a sparkle to great-grandma’s eye! She is also survived by her loving brother Herbert Surtman (Mary-Jane), many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Topper, her father Charles Surtman and her mother Emilda.

Nancy had very close connections with her family and friends. She was an artist, a writer, a knitter and an advisor. She enjoyed her friendships and also enjoyed her own company. She was more than a mother, grandma, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was our best friend…rest in peace Mom, we love you!

A Graveside Service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens, (17 Ave at Lower Springbank Rd SW), on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. An Open House in memory of Nancy will be held at her residence on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Nancy’s memory directly to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, (1212 West Broadway, Ste #200, Vancouver, BC V6H 3V2).
