

Orlando was born in the town of San Giovanni d'Albi, Catanzaro, Italy on July 3, 1928. He immigrated to Canada along with his wife and first child Vince, on December 17, 1956 and has lived in Calgary ever since. Orlando made his career in construction as a carpenter and retired in 1989. His passion in life was his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, making wine, spending time back in the homeland and spending countless hours with his grandchildren and the friends he had made throughout the years. Orlando was a kind, generous man, and was respected by all that knew him. Along with his loving wife Vanda, Orlando is survived by his sons, Vincent ( Kelley) and Gino; grandchildren, Alexandra Davoli, Matteo Davoli, and Michael Davoli; as well as numerous nieces , nephews and other relatives in Canada, the U.S. and Italy. He was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Rosa, and his brothers, Mario, Francesco, Nicola and Giovanni.
Those wishing to visit and pay their respects to Orlando may do so at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Orlando’s Life will follow at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will take place in the Mausoleum at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
