On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Pamela passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her husband, Greg, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. While our hearts are broken by her loss, we are incredibly grateful for the years we were blessed to have her in our lives.
Pam was born on June 21, 1968, in Woodstock, Ontario, to Gladys and Beverly Lowes. She grew up alongside her brothers, Paul and Tim, building the foundation of the caring and compassionate woman she would become.
One of Pam's favorite stories to tell was how she met the love of her life. Thirty-eight years ago, she met Greg while they were both working at McDonald's in Ontario. Greg likes to remind everyone that Pam rejected him not once, not twice, but four times before finally agreeing to go on a date. Thankfully, she gave him that chance, because it was the beginning of a love story that lasted nearly four decades.
Pam and Greg were married on August 4, 1990, and built a beautiful life together. They spent 27 wonderful years raising their family in Brampton before moving to Erin, a place that held deep family roots, as Greg's great-great-grandfather was one of its founders. Then, in June of 2022, they began a new chapter together in Calgary, Alberta, looking forward to the retirement they had dreamed of sharing.
Their marriage was built on love, friendship, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Through every joy and every challenge—including Pam's courageous battle with cancer—they stood side by side, proving what true love really means.
Pam's greatest pride and accomplishment was her family.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Greg; her beloved children, Ashley, Josh, and Zach; her daughters- and son-in-law, Daniella, Julia, and Michael; and her precious grandchildren, Benjamin, Mathew, and Sullivan, but we can’t forget her grand fur babies Skye and Harris.
Her grandchildren were the absolute lights of her life. Nothing brought Pam more happiness than hearing their laughter, watching them grow, and showering them with love. They adored their Gigi just as deeply as she adored them.
To her children, Pam wasn't just their mom—she was their entire world.
She was the one who always knew exactly what to say. She celebrated every success, comforted every heartbreak, and stood beside them through every stage of life. She was their biggest cheerleader, their greatest source of strength, and the person they could always count on, no matter what.
She was the magic behind every holiday. Christmas wasn't just Christmas—it was a celebration because of Mom. Birthdays weren't just birthdays—they were filled with thoughtful details, laughter, and love because of her. She had an incredible gift for making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.
The traditions she created will continue to live on in her family for generations, because they weren't just built on decorations or gifts—they were built on love.
Pam had a rare ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her smile could brighten an entire room, her laugh was contagious, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
To know her was to love her, and that couldn't be more true. Whether you knew Pam for decades or only a short time, she had a way of making you feel important, valued, and loved.
Even throughout her illness, she demonstrated incredible courage and grace. She faced each day with remarkable strength, always thinking of others before herself. She taught all of us what resilience looks like—not by the words she spoke, but by the way she lived.
Although we grieve the loss of someone who meant so much to so many, we also celebrate a life that was truly well lived.
Pam's legacy is not measured by the years she lived, but by the love she gave.
It lives on in Greg's unwavering devotion, in the values she instilled in her children, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in every person whose life was made brighter because she was part of it.
As difficult as it is to say goodbye, we know that love like Pam's never truly leaves us. It becomes part of who we are. It guides us, comforts us, and reminds us to live with the same kindness, generosity, and compassion that she showed every day.
Pam, thank you for being an incredible wife, an extraordinary mother, a proud grandmother, and a friend to so many.
You loved deeply, you gave endlessly, and you made this world a better place simply by being in it.
You will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered forever.
Rest peacefully, Pam. We love you always.
A celebration of Pamela's life will be held in Ontario in the summer of 2027. Further details, including the date, time, and location, will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized
