Pamela was born on March 23, 1984, in Edmonton, Alberta, and grew up in Olds, where she graduated from Olds High School. From an early age, she developed a love of the water and became an accomplished competitive swimmer, medaling at provincial meets through her teenage years. Swimming remained a source of confidence and pride long after her competitive days ended.
Music was an enduring passion in Pamela’s life. She loved attending live shows and found a sense of belonging and connection through music, particularly within Calgary’s local metal scene. These shows provided her with camaraderie, friendship, and moments of genuine happiness.
Pamela was known for her acceptance of all people, her generosity, and her empathy for others. She often gave more of herself than she could afford to those around her. Her desire to care for others led her to seek out relationships and communities grounded in mutual support, understanding, and connection. In recent years, she found a meaningful sense of belonging through Indigenous-led organizations and initiatives including Neechi-Mart, where she found reflections of her own life in traditional stories, teachings, and cultural practices.
Pamela’s life was profoundly shaped by the birth of her children. She spoke of them constantly, loved them fiercely, and remained deeply committed to them, holding them at the center of her heart and identity.
Pamela is survived by her two beloved children, Lochlann Pringle and Sydney Palardy-Devlin, who carry her love with them. She is also survived by her mother, Joan Palardy and her siblings, Patrick, Jim, and Nicole Palardy. She was predeceased by her father, John Palardy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026. For those wanting to attend virtually, a livestream link of the service will be available below.
