

Pearl Robertson passed away at the Edgemont Retirement Residence on Friday, July 20, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Betty-Anne (Jean-Gilles) Tchabo and Linda Lee (John) Gallagher; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Pearl was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, George Lee Robertson. She was born in Nanton, AB on April 5, 1912. Pearl celebrated her 100th birthday this year, and she was delighted to see many family members and friends at her party. At the 2012 Stampede breakfast, she was proud to be “white-hatted” with three other centenarians at Edgemont. Pearl taught school in Meadowbank, Turner Valley and Midnapore. She was a member of the Calgary Photo Club, the Calgary Rockcrafters Club, and Wild Rose United Church. Pearl also was a devoted square dancer and master bridge player. Services to celebrate Pearl’s life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Wild Rose United Church, 1317 - 1st Street N.W., Calgary T2M2S5, phone 403-277-5576 (Parking relaxation in effect). In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Wild Rose United Church. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
