Betty Anne, Linda Lee and family,
It is with great sorrow to hear of your mother's passing, a lady I admired so long ago. Her friendliness and kindness to me have never been forgotten. Please accept my condolences as you mourn the passing of your wonderful mother.

Betty Anne, Jean Gilles and family and Linda Lee and John.  I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing.  
She had accomplished much in her life and had the good fortune to celebrate her 100th year with many acquaintances and friends and family. She had a lifetime of cherished memories to enjoy in her elder years.

Joan Sorenson and I would like to send you our sympathy. Youve been very much in our thoughts this week, as your mother's death seemed to come so suddenly at the end. It was only in the last few weeks that she seemed a little confused and had to stop playing Bridge. We will miss her - Margaret Belcher

Pearl has had a big impact on my life! If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't know very much about my father's family which was also her dad's family. I will remember her with respect and as a role model for how to live life to the end.  It was wonderful to be able to celebrate her 100th birthday in April. Herb and I send our heartfelt condolences to Betty-Ann and her family and to Linda and her husband, John.

Dear Betty Anne, Linda and everyone in your families,
Our thoughts are certainly with you today and those thoughts include the remarkable span of time that Pearl and mother have been friends, having met in their school years. We have fond memories of the many bridge nights spent at our house and if memory serves, recall that Pearl and Lee were formidable opponents.
We were delighted to share in Pearl's 100th birthday celebration and to find her
so articulate and engaging. Indeed we feel fortunate to have been able to attend
It is also delightful that she was recently “White Hatted”. No doubt, Don MacKay who, along with his wife Mary, also had connections with the “party group”, would have been very pleased to have made the presentation himself.
We also remember so well, the brilliant and talented daughters for whom mom and dad were so justifiably proud and it has been wonderful to see you both again.

Betty Anne & Linda, & families, Hard to imagine we have all known each other for about 60 of Pearl's 100 years! I have great memories of staying at your house for Stampede, & especially remember the year there was a bus strike & we had to hitchhike downtown & to the grounds. Also remember hunting for dew worms & getting in trouble for various infractions! I am thinking about you & wishing you strength. I'll try & phone in a few days hoping you'll be back home.
