

Pete grew up in Melfort, Saskatchewan, where his younger years instilled in him a love of all sports. The love of hockey took him to play for Falkirk Lyons in Scotland.
In 1954 he married Jean Ann Harper and they honeymooned in Scotland as Pete was playing for the Edinburgh Royals.
Back in Canada, Pete joined the Canadian Armed Forces and was stationed in Whitehorse, Toronto, Ottawa, London, England, and Virginia Beach, USA. He was then posted to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and finally Calgary, where they lived for 42 years. In 2022 Pete and Jean made the difficult decision to sell their beautiful home and move to Aspen Ridge retirement Village in Red Deer.
In Calgary, Pete was able to enjoy golfing as often as possible.
Pete was very loyal to his family and was able to help support his mom and dad in their declining years. He also took great pleasure in being an uncle to all his siblings children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Pete and Jean were able to travel to many beautiful destinations during their retirement.
Pete will be lovingly missed by his wife, Jean of 70 years. He is survived by one brother Terry of Battleford, Saskatchewan, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and nine siblings.
Cremation will take place in Calgary with no formal funeral service. At a later date, Pete’s ashes will be scattered as per his wishes.
