Born on April 24, 1937, in China, Pinky immigrated to Canada in 1955, beginning a new life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She settled in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where she lovingly raised her four sons: Eugene, Glen, Gordon, and Thomas.
In 2020, Pinky moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially gathering over her favorite brunches. These moments brought her great happiness and created cherished memories for those who shared them with her.
Pinky was predeceased by her husband, Fay Kwan, and is lovingly remembered by her sons, extended family, dear friends, and members of the Chinese United Church community.
A devoted member of the Chinese United Church, Pinky dedicated countless hours to volunteering in support of her church and community. Whether helping organize events, supporting church activities, or lending a hand wherever needed, she quietly and faithfully served others. Her generosity, warm spirit, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Family was at the heart of everything Pinky did. She was a loving and devoted mother whose care, strength, and sacrifice shaped the lives of her sons. One of her greatest pleasures was caring for her beloved dogs, whom she spoiled with affection, treats, and attention.
Pinky will be remembered for her kindness, her servant's heart, her steadfast faith, and the love she shared so freely with family, friends, and her church community. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A private family memorial service will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel. Pinky will be laid to rest at Prairie Sky Cemetery.
Though she is no longer with us, her love, faith, and example will remain a guiding light for those she leaves behind.
