Ralph was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 2, 1947. He was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army. After his stroke and retirement in 2002, Ralph volunteered with multiple organizations, including Calgary Stampede, Multiple Sclerosis Society and many more. If you couldn’t find Ralph DIYing his own project or putzing around, hearing him on the Ham Radio was possible. Ralph’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, family and loved ones.
Ralph is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Anne; 3 daughters Angela, Kerri (James) and Tracy; grandchildren Rebecca, Colton and Brielle. Great grandchildren Lauryn and Josh, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and all the adoptive children that became family.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel; siblings Ethel and Dorothy (William); and nephew Bill Turnbull.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Salvation Army Glenmore Temple, 921 68 Avenue S.W., Calgary on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Colonel William Ratcliffe officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date.
