Robert Kevin Jarosh passed away suddenly on Monday, July 15, 2019 shortly before 3:00 p.m. at the age of 64 years. Bob Jarosh is survived by his two sisters Deborah Hartwick and Maureen Jarosh; 5 nieces and nephews Kirsten Hartwick, Paul Hartwick, Matthew Hartwick, Madalaine Dionne and Louise Dionne; and 7 great-nieces and nephews Elliott Lipsett, Isla Lipsett, Freya Lipsett, Nat Hartwick, Isaac Hartwick, Marcus Hartwick and Maxen Weeks. He was predeceased by his mother Eileen and father Jack Jarosh of Calgary, Alberta.
Bob was born in Calgary in 1954 at the Holy Cross Hospital. He grew up in Southwest Calgary, riding bikes, boy scouts and going camping with his family. He graduated from Bishop Grandin High School, then SAIT and became a Power Engineer. For many years he worked for the City of Calgary Water Plant and NOVA Chemicals. There he retired in 2015. He had a passion for music, cross country skiing, mountain biking and above all his motorcycles. He was lovingly revered as “Uncle Bob” by his whole family. He will be fondly remembered by his close longtime friends and family.
A Memorial Reception will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
