

Falloon, Roger William passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 4th, at the age of 50 years. Roger was born in Birtle, Manitoba in 1966. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Birtle. He was actively involved in art, school sports, band, jazz and 4-H. Roger went to University of Manitoba and received a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours, majoring in marketing. This is where he met his wife, Colleen. Roger worked for various companies in Regina, Winnipeg and then Calgary. After several years of dating, Roger married Colleen Gillespie in 2000 in Winnipeg. They moved to Calgary in 2004, where they have lived ever since. He worked for three different marketing firms and was actively involved in Amway. He attended Centre Street Church. Right from childhood Roger was always so kind and considerate of others. He was always positive and rarely complained, even right at the end. He was a solid support to his family, extended family and friends. Roger will be sadly missed by his wife Colleen, his grandmother Blanche Falloon, his parents Carman and Laura Falloon, his sister Sheryl (Bill) Hurlin, nieces and nephews Sarah, Katherine, James, Christian, Elizabeth, Andrew and Luke, his sister Sandra (Kevin) Clark, nephew Tyler and niece, Ashley. He also leaves to mourn his mother-in-law Donna Gillespie, father-in-law Gordon Gillespie, sister-in-law Cheryl (Bruce) Grewar, nieces, Chelsey and Shona, brother-in-law, Garth (Deanna), nephew Garth Junior, niece, Victoria, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous great friends. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have been involved in Roger’s cancer journey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on December 10th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
