Ron passed away peacefully at Peter Lougheed Hospital after a brief illness. Ron is survived by his wife Dolene, his daughters Crystal (Mike), Melody (Stephen Brower), brother-in-law Joel Bell (Darlene), niece Caitlin, his lifelong friends Ralph & Sharon and countless more. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary & Robert, his siblings Donny & Norm, and his first wife Janice (Bell).
Ron was born and raised in Calgary, a welder by trade, retiring from SAIT in 2006. After retiring he worked for Avis. He enjoyed making things from metal & wood. He enjoyed travel. Throughout his life he was an active participant in, and spectator of, sports including hockey, curling & golf. He attended Stamps games with his dad. Ron loved cooking chili and competed in many cook-offs in Canada and the USA.
Ron was always kind & loving. He loved his family, friends, his pets and nature. As a husband, father, and friend he will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary, on Wednesday, January 25 at 2:00p.m.
