In Loving Memory of Ruby Beaudin (Hamilton) was born on a farm in Bienfait, Saskatchewan on a bitterly cold Monday morning December 02,1929. She was last of 12 children born to parents who thought child bearing was over. She spent her formative years surviving the dirty thirties learning to never complain or ask for anything. Except for two brothers who served in WWII, her family mined coal. Ruby was a waitress in Regina and Estevan before moving to East Coulee, Alberta where she married Louis Domina (Bobby) Beaudin. In 1959, they moved their family to Calgary where she has resided since. As a home-maker she loved having home baked cookies ready for her children and grand-children after school. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing crib and going to bingo.
She was predeceased by her parents Christina and Robert Hamilton, her husband, all her siblings and two of her five children Louise and Denise. She is survived by her children Deborah, Ernie (Delores) and Frank, her nine grandchildren she helped raise and twelve great-grand children and two great-great grandchildren.
Ruby was an avid Flames fan, she loved to wear her jersey and attend live games. When hockey was over she watched the Blue Jays. She loved the zoo, taking her kids when they were young and her grandchildren taking her as she aged. Over her lifetime, she had many pets (birds, dogs, cats). Ruby was a soft spoken listener who accepted life as presented to her, she never complained.
Ruby Beaudin passed away in Calgary, AB on Monday, December 25, 2017 at the age of 88 years. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
