She is survived by her family in Manitoba. A lover of animals and sports, Ruth will be remembered for her sense of humour and living life with spunk. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ruth’s companion and care-giver, Michelle, as well as the staff at Bethany Care Centre who tended for Ruth with great compassion and dignity over the past seven years.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
