Sandra Lynne Olson (née Trout), beloved mother, sister and friend was born on November 22, 1949, and passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 74, in Calgary, Alberta after a brief illness that she fought bravely.
Sandra loved classic country music and had a passion for history, particularly World War II. One of her most cherished experiences was traveling to Europe for the 75th anniversary of D-Day, a testament to her adventurous spirit. She also found joy in crafting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and care.
An avid dog lover, Sandra couldn’t pass a dog without stopping to pet them, bringing joy to her life and the lives around her. Known for her humor and kindness, she was generous with her time and love, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. People loved her for her warmth and genuine spirit.
Sandra will be deeply missed by her children; Glenn and Denim; her brother David (Kathy) Trout; her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, and her parents Ruth and Harry Trout. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter and cherished memories.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
