Sandy was a true Albertan born to Fred and Irene Pullan at the General Hospital in Calgary on July 25, 1946. Sandy was one of a kind, a mild mannered person who had a love of laughter. Sandy was characterized by her laugh because it came straight from her belly. If you heard that recognizable laugh you always knew she was somewhere near.
Sandy had a true commitment to family and friends. To this day she leaves her best friend Gail Barnard, whose friendship she cherished for over 55 years. Until we meet again! She was always ready to sing a song or to bust out one of her dance moves to Elvis Presley. She was quite the performer!
Sandy will lovingly be remembered by John (Michelle) Pullan with Brianne Pullan; Karri (David) Lafont; Daymein; and Shey-Lynn and Naomi Lafont, Cheryl (Dale) Adams, Derek (Marissa) Adams; LeeAnn Bramley, Jack (Susie) Pullan; TJ and Jesse Pullan; Kathy (Ken) Wedin; Kimmie Wedin; Bev McCool (Sean Moench); Brett (Amanda) McCool; Morgan Blakely; Joan (Steve) Turgeon; Meghan and Nicole Turgeon. She will be dearly missed by extended family and friends too numerous to mention. You know who you are and you were truly loved by Sandy.
Loved ones that have cleared a path for Sandy are her father Frederick Pullan (1995); mother Irene Alma Pullan (2008); her maternal grandmother Amalea Molly Barker (1993); her paternal grandfather John Pullan (1981); her paternal grandmother Edith Pullan (1982); and her dear nephew Devin Turgeon (1998).
Everyone please enjoy an A&W mama burger combo and remember Sandy as it was one of her favourites, have a good laugh and salute Sandy with your choice of beverage. She did her best and had a life well lived!
A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the AARCS foundation.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Unit 44 of the Peter Lougheed. We thank you for your graciousness from the bottom of our hearts.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca
