Serafina passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Serafina immigrated to Canada in 1966 with her husband and five children, seeking a better life. She was a feisty woman and had a generous and loving heart. She loved cooking big meals for the family often using many ingredients from the garden. Serafina, is survived by one son, Tony; three daughters, Teresa, Maria and Anna; sons-in-law, Marco, Kelly and Blaine; eleven grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah), Stephanie, Giovanni, Taylor, David, Anthony, Marina, Nicholas, Dana, James and Christian; one great-grand-daughter, Lenna; and by numerous family members and friends in Canada, USA, Italy and Switzerland. She was predeceased by her husband Giovanni and daughter Franca. A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m., with Interment to follow at the Mausoleum of Queen’s Park Cemetery.
