Seren Krause

JANUARY 29, 1927 - DECEMBER 22, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother, Seren Krause. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years, Lloyd Krause. Seren will be lovingly remembered by her children Brenda (Gordon), Barry (Caroline), Gary (Sandy), and Gail (Collin) and her sister Elsie Nicol. Seren's nine grandchildren Denise, Lisa, Eric, Tracy, Kirk, Lindsay, Taylor, Keira and Emery and eleven great grandchildren Brett, Hannah, Jaeli, Tye, Rylan, Chayse, Ava, Grady, Blake, Andrew and Angelica were always made to feel special in her presence. Seren made sure that her family and friends knew that she loved them unconditionally. She took great pride in her family, enjoying reunions every summer in the Okanagan. Seren's gentle nature always looked to find the beauty in everything around her. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including walking her dog, cross-country skiing, hiking in the mountains and gardening. We would like to thank the staff at the Cedars Villa Nursing Home for their loving support and care. A Celebration of Life, Family and Friendship was held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with the Celebrant Todd Reinholt officiating. Memorial donations in Seren's memory may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society, 201, 222 – 58 Avenue SW Calgary, AB T2H 2S3 or Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110 Avenue SE Calgary, AB T2C 2T7 or to the charity of one's choice.
