Shirley Thomassen passed away peacefully at her home in Calgary, AB, after a brief struggle with cancer, on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the age of 60 years. She is survived by her husband Arne; children Vanessa and Carson; grandchildren Logan, Mya, and Isaiah; parents Victor and Jenny Pries; brother Arnold (Wilma) Pries; as well as sisters Joan Pries and Charlene Pries. She is predeceased by son, Noah Hunt. A Funeral Service will be performed by Reverend Dan Bent at Highland Mennonite Brethren Church, 4018 Centre B St N.W., on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
