Sigrid Zimmermann passed away peacefully at the Colonel Belcher Care Centre on Tuesday, March 9th at the age of 87 years. Sigrid immigrated to Canada in 1957 and contributed much to her community through her relationships and volunteerism. She was most proud of her successful sons and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her four sons and their families, Ralph (Linda), Mark (Cindy), Tom (Pam), and David (Dagmar); her grandchildren Megan (Lee), Ashley (Paul), Sarah, Jack, Katarina, and Lukas; and her great-grandchildren Kira, Peyton, and Addison.
Sigrid was predeceased by her husband Alfred, they will be reunited at a private family interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
Due to pandemic restrictions, a Celebration of Sigrid’s life will be held at a later date, please contact Foster’s Garden Chapel Funeral Home and Crematorium for further information.
Memorial donations in Sigrid’s name will be gratefully accepted by the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
