Mr. Sing Tak Wong passed away surrounded by family, at the Foothills Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Sing Tak arrived in Canada in 1977. As a successful restaurateur, he owned a few restaurants, the last being Harbour City, in the heart of Chinatown. As a highly accomplished chef, he was also the heart of every kitchen he ran. Sing Tak retired in 2013, allowing him to spend time with his loving family and time to travel the world.
Sing Tak is lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Mary; his four children, Sandy, Leslie, Vincent and Rose; he will be sadly missed by his son-in-laws, Jesse and Nicholas; and his four grandchildren, Iris, Harrison, June and Isla will always cherish their beautiful memories of him. He is also survived by his three brothers and extended family.
Those wishing to pay their respects, may do so at a visitation held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will also be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
