Steve Sady passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 90 years. Born on May 24, 1931 in Wardlow, Alberta, he was the youngest of seven children. When Stevie was two years old, his parents left their Wardlow homestead and moved the family to Calgary. The family lived all their formative years in the 11th Avenue SE part of Calgary and most particularly in the home fondly dubbed “312” which was the heart, sole, and social hub of the family (and later, their families) for many memorable years.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his seven nieces and nephews;
Nancy Chauvin-Rivey (Andy), Carol Quast, Rick Rothermal (Debbie), Rae Collicutt, Alan Kon, Evelyn Bjorn, and Sam Sady (Traci), and their families.
Stevie was predeceased by his parents, Sam & Pauline Sady; his siblings, Sam (Nonny) Sady, Evelyn (Sis) Green, Richard Sady, Mary Rothermal, Abdula Sady, and Alice Kon.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) with Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
