Suey was born November 25, 1930 in China. She immigrated to Canada in 1958. Living in Swift Current, Saskatchewan for 5 years before moving to Leader, Saskatchewan. She owned and operated the family business, Boston Café for 15 years. Suey moved to Calgary, Alberta and worked at the Westin Hotel before retiring at the age of 55.
Suey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed for her ability to grow the most colourful flowers and nutritious Chinese vegetables, wonderful home-cooked meals and all the family gatherings.
Suey leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 70 years, Ying Tang; daughter, Marie (John), daughter, Lily and her children, [Nigel (Sarah) and their children, Rayne, Amira and Vann]; [Devan (Amy) and their children, Aiden and Ethan; Brandon (Nadia)]; daughter, Joan (Vincent) and their children, [Jeremy (Jessica) and Landon (Shelby)], her son, Sam (Pansy) and their children, [Jordan and Stephanie]; her son, John (Bonnie) and their children, [Mitchell (Maureen) and Kaitlin].
The family would like to thank Dr. Tsoi and the nursing staff on Unit 49 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital and the staff at Dulcina Hospice.
Those wishing to pay their respects, may do so at a Visitation held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street, N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
