Val worked at Hillhurst Elementary School for 25 years as administrative support staff. Her work there was her greatest joy, as she loved spending time with children and learning about their individual strengths and personalities.
Outside of work, Val filled her time with the things she loved. She enjoyed camping and especially loved boating on the many lakes her and Murray visited. She adored her home, spending quiet time watching movies, and spending time with her cats that she adored.
Val will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Murray Fraser; her lifelong best friend, Sharon (Chris) Bruder; and their family.
Donations may be made in Val’s name to the MEOW Foundation or the Calgary Humane Society.
In respect of Val’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
