I have never met this beautiful lady, but know she was truly beautiful on the inside, too.  Because of knowing only one of her children, Kim, and the inward beauty within her, I know she had a wonderful Mother.  I've enjoyed hearing from Kim her loving memories of her Mother, and I wish I could have met her myself.  I know she will be missed by kim and all the rest of the family.

Although we are separated by many distances and circumstances, I have never lost how important my family has been in my life. Thank you for sharing the pictures of Aunty Verna. They brought back a plethora of memories and taxed my brain on who was who.
      
I am sorry I could not be with you all. Uncle Ron and Aunty Helen was here in Toronto a couple weeks ago and we spent some time going through the family tree book created by Aunty Marge. It was great reminiscing of the family and remembering the various time ALL our family would get together.
I
 am sorry for your loss, but I am sure that knowing you are all together would make Aunty Verna very pleased. .Perhaps the internet and Facebook with help us keep each other closer than we have been.

We're going to miss you,Sis and Aunty Verna. But, we know you will be joining the family circle ahead of the rest of us. We have many nice memories of you and your family.
 Ben and I were remembering the fun we had doing puzzles down stairs here. 
 I was reminded of the times we trudged through the deep snow everyday on the way to school in the winter. We took turns making paths for each other. Then when I would get tired, you would tell me not to lie down or I would freeze. You would then make sure I got up and got going again.
 Brenda & Debbie were always so happy to see you. They remember the time we met you at Heritage Park , in Calgary and the fun they had with you.

 Verna was always our "little sister", but had lots of spirit. She raised a lovely family and I remember her as a loving mother and daughter to Mom & Dad.
 She will be missed, but I am glad to know she has gone to a better place.

I have loving memories of Sister Verna and the visits we had together, both at her home and mine. For years we lived close enough that we picked berries together with Mom & Dad. (Sometimes wearing pants that were Ron's. Verna had to roll the legs up.)
Other times Mom or I were able to help when Lloyd & Verna were busy raising their family. She was always a wonderful, loving mother. She looked pretty small on the tractor.
 I will miss her, but know she has gone to her reward.

Grandma was a quiet, soft spoken, big hearted, gentle mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  We will cherish the many memories and times we had with her.  Human Color had no boundaries with her and she accepted all as she accepted her grandson-in-law, and others that came into her family life.  She always enjoyed a good chuckle and times spent with her family and extended family. We will always remember her puttering in her garden, doing puzzles, stopping to smell the flowers, and her enjoyment as she watched the pictures on our electronic picture frame.  Grandma you will be greatly missed!  You have left us many memories to cherish.  Angela, John, Chelsea & Ursula  (Granddaughter, Grandson-in-law, and Granddaughters)

Dear Aunt Verna, she was the smallest in size of all my Aunts,but boy could she drive a car. She was the fastest of them all and I know because I tried to catch her a couple of times. When she was behind the wheel of the old 56 Ford she was greased lightning.I also have many memories of when I moved to Wpg. to work and stayed at Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Verna's home. Larry and I did some crazy things but both Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Verna were always very caring,patient and understanding.Our daughter Wanda and Faith were born very close together and Helen and I have some great memories of how loving and helpful Aunt Verna was to us. WE have many great memories and were pleased to have you and Larry here this spring even if it was so short. This may be long,but I could go on and on.We all loved you very much and are going to miss you greatly as we do Uncle Lloyd. We will not forget you and God willing we will meet again Our hearts and sympathy goes out to the Lee Families Love Ron,Helen and all our family

I am so happy I got to meet you. I will never forget your beautiful smile and your sparkling eyes that showed such a love for life! Your family was truly blessed to have such a mother. You will be missed, but only for a short time.

Verna will always be remembered for her kind and thoughtful ways. She had a generous and sweet spirit about her and it was such a privilege to have met her.

Getting to know and love you mom was easy,you always had a sparkle about you that made me want to be around you.Your love for God was infectious and true.
  I am proud that I am your son-in-law and your memories will always put a smile on my face.

You always made me smile, laugh, feel so loved and there was nothing like your hugs and kisses. I am going to miss our long talks and hearing your stories. I will always be grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of times we shared. You always will have a special place in my heart and I am going to miss so. So sorry to hear about aunty Verna.  She was a very special lady.  I cherish the memories of  the visits with her and Uncle Lloyd.  It was wonderful seeing her when she came for a quick visit this spring.  I laugh when I remember her telling grandma to eat her supper.  She looked at me and winking she said that now she gets to "boss" her older sister.  Then she had a laugh.  I will miss her smile, laugh and most of all her great hugs that made you feel loved and cherished. Love you aunty Verna!

We had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Lee some years ago when she came to Ontario to visit Faith. She was sweet and very friendly, and took an immediate liking to our puppy. Our sincere condolences to the entire family, especially to my sister-in-law, Faith.

I think of Aunty Verna and smile. She always showed me great love. I enjoyed visiting her. Her garden was something else, everytime I try to garden I giggle and think what would Aunt Verna tell me to do with this flower hmmmm. She also loved to show me her lighthouses, each one held a special place in her heart.I loved hearing her stories of my cousins and how each one of them are unique in their own way and as she told me them her eyes shined with the love and pride that a mother expresses in her eyes.  My special memories are the times I spent as a child on Aunt & Uncle's farm near Ashville, Manitoba and the times they took me to see Grandma Lee's lambs. Memories of happy times that will always be treasured!
