He spent most of his youth on the family farm in Roseneath with his large family and had many fond memories of his childhood.
Walt married his wife Debbie Mihalik on August 13, 1983 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Walt and Debbie shared many wonderful memories over the last 38 years.
Walt left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved making people laugh and helping others.
You never left a room without a big smile when Walt was around and his big, infectious laugh will be remembered always. He touched many people’s lives with his personality and his skills of the trade. Walt was a man of many talents and there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix as a journeyman carpenter. Walt enjoyed watching Hockey Night in Canada (especially the Toronto Maple Leafs), working on renovation projects, and discussing current events around the world. He loved spending time with family and friends most of all.
Walt is mourned by his wife Debbie; children Megan and James (Atley); brothers John (Phyllis), Ed (Marie) and Hank (Lynda); sister Mary (Marvin); and sister-in-law Linda (Jim). He will be dearly missed by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
