Wendy Po Sim Cho passed away unexpectedly in her home in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the age of 53 years. Wendy was born in Hong Kong on May 29, 1971 and was raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Wendy obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and pursued a career in education. Later, she worked for the Government of Canada in Red Deer, where she then subsequently moved to Calgary. In working as a Revenue Collections Officer, Wendy dedicated over 25 years of service to the Government of Canada.
She is survived by her two children, Samantha and Matthew Cho, her mother, Lai Yee Cho, and her brothers, Roger, John, and James Cho. Wendy was predeceased by her father, Pong Kui Cho.
Wendy had a love for working with children and cooking. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and delighted in listening to people play music. Often putting others before herself, she thoughtfully cared for loved ones and will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Celebrant Dorothea Schabb officiating. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
