Wesley was born in Calgary on June 15, 1980 at the Holy Cross Hospital. He lived his life with great compassion, strength and understanding. Wesley was a free-spirit who marched to the beat of his own drum – he loved deeply and without constraint. Wesley was happiest when he was with his pets, spending time with family, listening to music, collecting comic books and watching sports or old movies. He dedicated significant time to volunteering and providing acts of service for those in need through the Bethany Care Centre, CUPS and the Fanning Centre. His family would like to offer thanks to Dr. John Naylor for years of support and guidance.
Wesley is lovingly remembered by his mother Pat Laverdure, his father Gord Laverdure, his sister Kate Laverdure and brother-in-law Chris Keough. He is also survived by his grandmother Sophie Heuman. Wesley was predeceased by great grandmother Kate Bezborodka, grandparents John Heuman, Ed and Mabel Laverdure, uncle Dave Heuman and companion of 15 years, his dog Wilson.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 840 3 Avenue SW, Calgary on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Margaret Propp officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date.

“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.”
