I have very fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Sneed.  I boarded with them in my first year of unversity in Calgary, in 1985.  I used to watch The Price is Right with Mrs. Sneed and I used to take Mr. Sneed's blood pressure every day.  They were so sweet, so kind, so loving.  For a young 17 year old away from home for the first time, they provided a safe, supportive environment for me to transition into adult life.  I'll always have a special place in my heart for both of them.      Much Love. Radha Nayar

To Willa's family, 
I have really fond memories of both Nap and Willa.  I was introduced to them both by a friend from nursing school and went to bible study at their home with her and my brother in the early 80's. They shared their love of God with many people.  Willa's life is truly a celebration both here and in heaven, and it was an honor to have known her. My condolences to her family.

Dear Bernard, Maxine, Floyd and  families.
We were so sad to read about the passing of your mother and our condolences go out to you.  Kelly and I remember our time together at Victoria School as we were in the same grades with you. Everyone admired your mom and had great respect for her as she was kind to all. As kids we were always dazzled by your musical talents, thanks to your mom who instilled within you the love of music. (And made sure you practiced)  On hot summer days when the windows were open we could always hear the piano from the Sneed house. You were so fortunate to have such a great Mother.  May she rest in peace.

I attended the ceremony this afternoon.  My mother recently passed on to heaven also - Willa and my mother were great friends and shared a deep love of God together.  It was a wonderful ceremony and I do not have words for how close I felt to the infinite source in the time I spend together with you all this afternoon.  God bless you all.

Willa was a lovely neighbor. She very generously helped me out when I had four young children at home.  We still live on the street in Wildwood and I have thought of her often over the years.  Our condolences from my family to yours.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Your mother, who my sisters and I knew as Mrs. Sneed, was very dear to our family.  She was huge help to our mother who was juggling four girls.  She would come and clean house once a week and that was truly a day to look forward to.  We loved her and we knew that we would be able to eat lunch with her.  She possessed such good humor and such a kind heart and as we grew up we also knew that she had a son in a rock and roll band!!  I have such fond memories of her  I have enjoyed sharing those with my own children.   My condolences to all your family.   Your mother was a great lady.

In 1958 I met the very talented piano musician Bernie Sneed from Calgary's most popular band, THE SHADES. Bernie had a great sense of joy for life. In visiting his home I was fortunate to meet his Mother and Father, Maxine and young Floyd. The joy, humour, spirit, manners, confidence and warmth was evident in each family member. I soon realized that the feelings were generated first by their loving parents.
  Willa Sneed was a great Mother and it has been a joy to have known her.

I knew your mom & dad many years ago. They both were very beautiful people. I thought a lot of your mom. Our condolences to all the family.  The world has lost another beautiful sole.

I will always remember the amazing faith and joy that Willa shared. She is one of the reasons I became a Christian.

What great memories I have from my teenage years at the Calgary Free Methodist Church.  Willa's spark, enthusiasm, and friendliness have inspired me throughout my life.   My condolences for your great loss.

What a life well lived!  We have always loved Willa and ever since I first met her as a teenager at Spruce Cliff Free Methodist Church, she has been an inspiration and an unforgettable personality.  I remember her many songs with Nap at the front of the church and her voice often rose above everyone else's to sing "one more verse".  Her invitations to have lunch and watch baseball were many, and who could forget her sweet potatoe pie!  Another one of the saints has left us to meet Jesus.  Herb, Helen, Shea and Del Coburn

The Sneeds are forever etched in my childhood memories. The joy that was in their home, and thoughts of this dear sweet lady immediately came to mind. As time went on, and the occasions of seeing her became years apart, it meant so much for her to remember me and make it a point to ask about the family and how I was. Her love for God, and her faith in him was plain for all to see. There is no doubt of her home in heaven.

So sorry for your loss, our family was blessed knowing your parents!

What a glorious life lived!  We loved Willa so much, and especially remember her incredible love of baseball and sweet potato pie that she made like no one else could!
