William (Bill) Trainor born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Bill was a wonderful family man who worked for Nortel for 37 years. Though he travelled a lot with the company, he always managed each summer to take the family on a road trip to the prairies or southern United States. After his retirement at the age of 55 years, Bill volunteered at the Nortel Pioneer Store and also the Kids Cancer Camp at Camp Horizon. His hobbies included collecting sports cards, travelling and an occasional round of golf. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Dora; sons David and Barry and his grandson Mauricio. He is also survived by his sisters Pat (Winnipeg), Joyce (Vancouver); his brother Brian (Kelowna) and other numerous family and friends. William is predeceased by his father Patrick; mother Kathleen; and sister Shirley all of Winnipeg, MB. The family would like to thank the medical team at the Foothills Medical Centre who took care of Bill. A Memorial gathering will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., the family requests that dress be casual.
