After a lengthy courageous battle with Cancer and Parkinson’s, Yinan Chen passed away peacefully in the early afternoon of Thursday, June 11th, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 68 years with his family at his bedside. Born in February of 1952 to Xianhe Chen and Furong Hu, Yinan spent his childhood and adolescence in Huangpi of the Hubei Province in China. Before moving to Canada, he has worked in China in numerous provinces, in a variety of professions and retired as a Certified Public Accountant. Throughout his career, he was recognized as a dedicated hard-working person, a great mentor, a life-long learner and a role model. He had a happy marriage to Xiaobi of over 47 years with two children and three grandchildren. Among lots of hobbies he had, he really enjoyed traveling and delicacy.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Xiaobi; their daughter Suzy and son-in-law Jerry; son Wei and daughter-in-law Xiaomei; and grandchildren Daniel, Selina and Diana. Relatives and friends will also remember him as a kind, brave and inspiring person.
