With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Andrew Ryan Birch on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 38.

We will remember Andrew as the Life of the Party, who was always smiling. He loved his car – a Dodge Challenger – but even more than that, he loved his family and friends. Andrew will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Jordyn Birch, partner Sarah Kuehl, father Michael Birch, mother Heather Birch, brothers Stephen Birch and Jamie Holman, sister Bobbi Weir, Jordyn’s mother Tammy Silbernagel, and many more friends, family, coworkers, and his furry friends, especially Jack. Andrew was predeceased by his grandparents Sy and Dorothy Thomson, and Eric and Marian Birch. Cremation has taken place and a Visitation will be held at Barthel Funeral Home on Saturday, December 4th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Due to Covid restrictions, space at the funeral home is limited to 12 guests indoors at a time. Please wait patiently outside for your turn to enter the building. All guests must wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols. Names and phone numbers will be requested for contact tracing. A private family and friends Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.

Oh Sunshine where do I start, it has taken a little to process the loss we are all feeling. It started with Andrew's Angel's and now you are our angel. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. He was such an amazing person, he would do anything for anyone. If he knew someone was having a bad day he was the first to make you smile. I will remember all the good times we shared from playing darts to going out to play pool (I was never good at pool but he made it fun) to just talking. Make sure you sharpen my darts for when we meet again.

This is a day my kids will never forget! Andrew had them in stitches misbehaving in the restaurant! There was no talking him out of it! When his mind was made up for a prank or a joke…it was happening!!

To Andrew's friends, family and co-workers,
Sending my heart felt condolences to you all during a very difficult time.

Andrew and I worked together for only a couple of years, but he left a lasting impression.
His smile and humour was always welcomed during my day!
Rest in Peace

Oh Andrew, where to begin. I can't believe you are gone.

I loved working with you over the last 16 years. You were my favorite person to talk to when there were problems at work. You had an uncanny knack of making those problems seem small even if sometimes they were gigantic.

I truly cherish the time we had together and I will miss you, your humor and your unforgettable smile terribly.

You had a free and dynamic soul that touched everyone you came in contact with.

You have made me a better person by just having met you.

Rest in Peace buddy.

Miss seeing you everyday. I can not believe that I will never hear the roar of your Dodge Challenger every morning before school. Andrew was the friendliest and always made my day better every time I got to talk to him. I am devastated that you are gone. I am so thankful to have had you in my life.

Andrew. The nicest guy anyone ever would have crossed paths with. Never a mean word spoken. A true humanitarian. This is absolutely societies loss. We let him down. I am so sorry. What a beautiful person. My heart bleeds.
