Still think of him often what a wonderful man he was, talk to him like l knew him for years and funny, made me laugh all the time and a really good boss at Apex  helped me all the time when ever l needed it.

he was  very pleasant and likable fellow .

very dedicated to his work ,  I retired  3 years ago but Art decided to
continue working and he continue to ask other employees about how i was doing , great fellow and he will surely be missed .

I just was made aware of Art's passing. My condolences go out to Art's family and work family.  Art Drover was Apex Motor Express in the Kitchener area. He is one of the great old school managers. His customers, colleagues, and competitors respected him as a person and a manager.

Apex will hire another manager, but Art will never be replaced. 

I worked with Art for a couple of years, and he was the most kindest and funniest man I’ve ever met. He taught me a lot of things, and treated me like one of his own. I loved coming into work and talking with Art and Rob and hearing them bicker like an old married couple, they kept work very entertaining to me :) but most importantly, they treated me like family. Art and Julie treated me with such kindness, a kindness I try to uphold because Art instilled that in me. In a way, he was also like my grandpa, Because I would love to bring him Chinese food from my aunts restaurant, and he would buy me fries and gravy from the truck stop across the street. I’ll miss you Art, thank you for everything, and my condolences to you Julie and your family. 

It is rare to find and/or work with a person that was so genuine and straight forward in his approach to business. 
I had the pleasure to work with Art for over 25 years and for that, I feel blessed.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Art for only a short period of time, compared to many of his other friends and colleagues. In the time I have known him it was truly my pleasure. He was a hard working, dedicated, and loyal man and will be missed tremendously.


Art what can I  say that others haven't already said, except Art was a great man and a great boss, even though only worked with Art a short time it felt like I've known him for years, will miss the talks and laughs.

My deepest condolences to the Drover family. Art was a great guy and the person to first hire and encourage me to join Apex. It was a pleasure knowing Art for over 28 years.  He was so easy to talk to and so friendly.

Art was a man of integrity, a great colleague and friend. He always brought a smile to my face when we spoke.  Although we did not work together at the same Apex location, he was always there to offer his support and assistance throughout the years. 

He will be dearly missed by all. Rest in peace Art.

So sorry to hear of Art's passing. Even though I didn't work out of Kitchener, Art trained me when I started at Apex and we communicated on a regular basis my entire career there. He would go out of his way to help me when ever I called to ask for his assistance.  Art had such a unique outlook on events. He will be missed for sure. I will always value my friendship with him. My condolences to his family and friends.  

I had the pleasure of knowing Art for a relatively short period of time, compared to many of his other friends and colleagues.  However, in that short time, I learned that he was a strong willed, candid and honest man, that could be counted on to tell you the truth.  Art was a kind man, and he will be missed. I count myself lucky to have met and known Art.  Rest in peace.

To Diane, Julie, and family,   My favourite memory of Art was one Christmas my Mom asked Art to see where the cord was for a new coffee machine.    Art’s  looking at the machine and says the cord is all locked up.  You had to be there but the way he said it we all laughed.    He was a fun caring person.   Always trying to make you laugh.   He will be missed.

My heartfelt condolence to sweet Diane and family.  Art was always some proud of you all.  This wonderful man left an imprint on my heart.  He was a kind mentor and boss in my first "real" job, who taught me so many things.  Even all these years later, every time I see an Apex truck or talk to one of the drivers, I think of my dear "Artalino" and a smile comes over me.  Heaven has just become a better place with this man in it.  


Sending my heartfelt condolences to Diane, Jules , Josh and Hailey.  I know words cannot ease the  pain you feel  at very hard time. But I hope I can help support you in your healing. Art you will be remembered as a very hard working man. I know your family meant a lot to you. The last couple years of your life I know were a struggle and for that I’m happy that pain has ended. I'm thankful for God for putting Art in my life.  His daughter is my best friend and family like my own.  My heart goes out to Diane, Julie, Josh, and Hailey.  Being also their neighbour on Hadfield Court I could always see they were such a strong unit.  Always together.  When I think of Art I think of a man of integrity whom took pride in work and his family.   Also a man whom all the animals loved. When open my front door my dogs will run across the court so Art and Diane will invite them in for a visit and a piece of ham or turkey.  Diane you can still expect them.    Art always had a wave for everyone and I'm sure going to miss him at the mailbox where  we could have our talks while walking the dogs.  I know he fought harder than anyone I ever seen to keep going but I think God had other plans.  The terminal in Heaven needed a better manager and Art's up there now doing the job.  I'm going to miss you Art thanks for being my friend.  Keep strong Diane, Julie, Josh and Hailey because all he wanted was for you four to be happy.   Godspeed my friend I will see you on the other side.  Xo
