Harry is survived by his four daughters- Andrea Lemieux of Cambridge, Ellie Squires (Dan) of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Janice Moore (Charlie) of Waterloo, Paula Lemieux of Kitchener; his 16 grandchildren; and his numerous great-grandchildren. He is reunited with his loving wife of 62 years, Monique (2011) of Tilbury; his son Allan (2005) and daughter-in-law Sharron (2009), of Preston; and his son Henry (2017) of LaSalle. Harry was born on May 25, 1926 in Chatham, to parents Thomas and Marie. He moved to Preston and accepted a position as a Plant Manager at Kralinator Filters, where he worked for more than 30 years. During his life, he proudly served as a member of the Preston School Board, Preston Library Board, was a Veteran of World War II and a member of Branch 126 of the Royal Canadian Legion, where he was the M.C. of the Remembrance Day Ceremony for many years. He also was a member of the St Clement Catholic Parish, including the choir and an avid golfer, curler and hunter. Visitation will take place at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Liturgy Prayers at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clements Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Preston Legion, Branch 126, 334 Westminster Drive N., Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Harry’s memory to Canadian Food for Children or the St. Vincent’s de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family.
