Connie Grimm

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Connie Grimm on Monday, August 11, 2014, in her 89th year. Surrounded by her loving family, she slipped away peacefully. Beloved wife of David for 58 years, loving mother to Dianne Grimm Jennings (Steve) and Dale Jones (Ross). Dearest grandma to Hilary, David and Dana Jennings and Scott and Julia Jones, and her much loved grand-dog Maggie. Connie is predeceased by brothers Howard and Kenneth, and sisters Frances Hobler and Shirley Scott. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as ‘Auntie Con” by her many nieces and nephew. Survived by brother-in-law JR (Dick) Grimm and his wife Yvonne. Cremation has taken place and at Connie’s request, private family services will be held to love and remember her. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a reception in Connie’s honour on Sunday, August 17th at The Pines, 115 Fountain Street South, Cambridge from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the loving care and compassion Connie received from Shaoping (Revera), Denise (Angels of Care) and the nursing staff at Doon Village Retirement Residence.
