9 December, 1926 – 30 March, 2021
Elizabeth Derschner (nee Yust) passed away at the Village of Winston Park on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the age of 94.
She is reunited with her beloved husband, John J. Derschner, who predeceased her in 2008. Loving mother of Marilyn Holm and her husband Roy of Kitchener, Ron Derschner and his wife Anita of Cambridge, and John Derschner of Kitchener. Proud grandmother of Doug (Caitlin), Dave (Shiva), Paul (Julie), Michelle (Gareth), Ronnie, Laura (Philippe), Adam (Lisa), Sarah (Paul) and Nicholas, and great grandmother of Daniel, Nathan, Jakob, Quinn, Coral, Chloe, Avery, Sabastian, Georgia, Charlotte, Zenkei, Lotus and Keoni.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Barbara Foerster (Paul Heinrick) of Kitchener. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Yust (Kay) and Nicholas Yust (Marguerite).
Elizabeth was a longtime member of St. Clements Church and was active in the C.W.L as well as the Resurrection Choir and she bowled for many years in the Wednesday Ladies’ League. She and John were avid golfers, but their family was everything. Elizabeth and John were compassionate, loving parents, who cared greatly for their large circle of family (and friends who were like family). They were proud fans at their grandchildren’s sporting events and dance competitions, and Elizabeth enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They loved vacationing and attending theme parks with their children and grandchildren. Elizabeth loved to cook for her family and greatly enjoyed being able to make everyone’s favorites – her best times were when her family was gathered together. Elizabeth will be greatly missed and her and John's memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of their loving family.
A private service will take place, with interment at Parklawn Cemetery on Wednesday, April 7th. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Winston Village and can be arranged by contacting the Barthel Funeral Home (519)653-3251

Sending heartfelt condolences and healing hugs to you all.
I appreciate you sharing her with me for the little time that we had. It would be very selfish of me to wish her back as I feel in my heart she is at well deserved peace but I will truly miss her.
Take care of each other and stay safe...
And Liz, may you rest in sweet peace 🙏❤️
