OBITUARY

Emma Pridiger

June 20, 1939December 4, 2018

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in her 80th year.

She is reunited with her beloved husband of 49 years, Josef (2005). Dearly missed by her daughters Renate Anderson and her husband Philip, and Ingrid Coyle and her husband Brian. Loving Grandma of Brandon (Marita) and Ryan (Sarah). Emma will also be lovingly remembered by her brother and three sisters and their families, all of Slovenia. Emma was born in Slovenia and has lived in Canada since 1957. She loved dancing, enjoyed her vegetable garden, and adored cooking and baking, especially for her friends, family, and grandsons. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Friday, December 7th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Prayers will be said at 8:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Saturday, December 8th at 11 am. Burial at Parklawn Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Galt Country Club from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Hamilton Sick Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

We didn’t know Emma but we do know her daughter Irene. Emma must have been a very special person to have raised a daughter as warm and giving as Irene.

I will always remember Emma as a loving and giving person. Donald and I are especially lucky that we got to share some very special memories with her in Slovenia.
She cared so much about her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
