Was called home to Glory on July 9, 2014, peacefully at home, at the age of 75. Beloved mother of Jennifer and Ronald Vanner and cherished step-mother of Vanda McQuinn (Ken), Derek Cooley (Laurie) and Naomi LaFrance (Ron). Proud grandmother to 6. She will be missed by her brothers Burt Ward (Rosemary) and Gordon Ward and sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Gerry now joins her husband Herb Cooley (2002), her parents, Charles and Beatrice Ward, one sister, and five brothers. Gerry, Herb and their two beloved poodles are now walking together.
Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 16th, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251). The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Humane Society of Cambridge would be greatly appreciated by her family
