Glenna Marie Cross

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Glenna Cross, who passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at the age of 82.

A lifelong and proud resident of Cambridge, Ontario, Glenna lived a life defined by love, resilience, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She had a remarkable gift for finding joy in life's simplest moments and for making those around her feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved. Her warmth could brighten any room, her kindness knew no limits, and her generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Glenna approached life with strength and determination. She faced challenges with grace, celebrated life's blessings with gratitude, and never lost her ability to laugh, especially at herself. Her sense of humour, quick wit, and down-to-earth nature brought comfort and joy to family and friends throughout her life.

She found happiness in tending to her garden, where she nurtured every flower with patience and care, and in baking cookies that became a treasured expression of her love. Family gatherings were made sweeter by her presence, her stories, and the countless treats she lovingly prepared. Whether offering encouragement, lending a helping hand, or simply showing up when someone needed her, Glenna could always be counted on. Her family never doubted how deeply she loved them.

Above all else, Glenna's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was the cherished wife of Larry, her devoted husband of 65 years, whose enduring love and partnership were the foundation of a lifetime of memories. She was the loving mother of Yvonne, and a proud grandmother to Angela (Jeffrey) and Max (Jamie).

Glenna was also a devoted great-grandmother to Arianna, Sabrina, Melody, Maxwell, and Spencer, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life. Nothing made her smile more than watching her family grow and creating precious memories with the youngest generation. Her love was unconditional, her hugs were comforting, and the lessons she shared through simple acts of kindness will remain with them always.

The love she shared with her family was infinite, and the values she instilled through her example of perseverance, humility, and unconditional love, will continue to guide them for generations to come.

Glenna leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured by years alone, but by the countless lives she touched. Her wisdom, warmth, generosity, and loving heart enriched the lives of family, friends, neighbours, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we are forever grateful for the memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind.

Please remember Glenna as she would have wanted: with a smile, a favorite story, and gratitude for the moments shared. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her love lives on in the lives she shaped and in the memories that will be treasured forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Grand Valley Golf Course (1910 Roseville Road, Cambridge ON N1R 5S3).

Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, celebrate Glenna's remarkable life, and honour the love and joy she brought to all who knew her.
