Ilse Wallach

She was born in Germany May 12, 1935 and immigrated to Canada in 1959. She and Ludwig met shortly after and were married November 18, 1961.

Beloved wife of Ludwig. Dear mother of Corinna (Kevin). Loved Oma of Amanda & Jacob.

Ilse loved her family with all her heart. She was the best mother a daughter could ever hope for, always there, for anything a child could need or want. She loved to look after her grandchildren when they were small and continued to spend as much time as possible with them as they became teens and young adults. Ilse loved animals, anything cute and cuddly, especially her favorite dachshund Daisy. She enjoyed dinners and games with her family, and she loved to dance and laugh. She was a bright light for those who knew her, and her family will miss her always.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverbend Long term care for the care and compassion they showed Ilse in her last years and especially the last days.

Ilse’s funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s in Cambridge on November 19th at 10 am.
