Wayne is predeceased by his parents and brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife Anne (Feiken) and daughters Annelies (Michael Hunt) and Georgeanne (Sean Fox) and grandchildren Makaela, Maggie, and Camden, as well as his sister Maureen.
Woodworking was Wayne’s passion and he was able to make his career from it.
Wayne loved nature and would see beauty all around him, whether it was when he was canoeing or just looking at a tree. He loved all his pets, and cared immensely about wildlife, including an orphaned baby crow that he ended up raising. He passed this joy of nature and wildlife onto all of his family.
He always enjoyed spending time with people and having a good laugh, teasing those he loved with a twinkle in his eye.
Anyone who knew Wayne, knew he had an inherent Scottish temper, but was very caring and thoughtful and would always be the first to make sure people were ok.
We would like to thank the Sunnyside staff for the excellent care and compassion provided to Wayne (aka the Hat man, Cat Man, and Professor) and his family.
There will be no service, but we would like to honour him with a Celebration of Life Event on November 17, 2019, at Dockside at the Old Marina (1947 McClintock Dr, Cambridge) from 1:00 – 4:00 pm .
