Janet Theresa Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandma Janet Smith on September 2, 2022, at the age of 77. Predeceased by her parents Madeline and John (Bill) Haverfield, and stepmother Phyllis Haverfield. Janet will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, David Smith, children Karen and Wayne (Rhandi), grandchildren Bailey, Abbey, Jake, Alexandra and Christopher, and great grandchildren Skylar and Melody. She will also be sadly missed and remembered fondly by many friends and family. Janet was a social butterfly who loved to bake, spend time by the lake and line dance among many other things. Her laugh was contagious, and her sense of humour and zest for life were truly a gift. She was one of the kindest, most selfless, caring souls you could ever meet, and she wouldn't dare let anyone leave her house without filling their tummy first. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2 - 4 p.m.
