Jean Gertrude Chamberlain (nee Lamkey) passed away peacefully on February 18, 2016 in her 91st year. Jean was a past member of the Preston Legion Branch 126. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Ron Chamberlain (Barbra), Roger Chamberlain, Terry Chamerlain (Wendy), Dennis Chamberlain (Susan), Joy Evans (Dennis), and Bonnie Hammer (Edward), 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her brother Robert (Bob) Lamkey. Jean was predeceased by her husband Sterling (Shammy) Chamberlain, daughter Donna Jean Chamberlain, and grandson Trevor Chamberlain. As per Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Golden Years Nursing Home for the care and compassion they showed to Jean. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
