I am shocked to hear about the passing of Leanne Kidd. I have been trying
desperately to reach Tom Kidd. Please give him my belated condolences and

LeeAnne was a light that was extinguished too soon.  A wonderful, smiling neighbour who was geniune and cool.  We absolutely love her and Tom.  Even after we moved away, we could pick up the phone or knock on the door and be greeted with warmth and frienship (and wine, if I was lucky!).  We continue to pray for Tom, Matt and all of LeeAnne's close family and friends.

I was saddened to hear about Leeanne. I worked with her at St. Mary’s and interacted more recently in her consultant role.  Leeanne was vibrant, fun , lighthearted with a flair for design that was coupled with a serious intensity about her work.  She was a proud Mom of Matthew and spoke with absolute pride and love about him, his skiing, school  and escapades. 
I am not able to attend the celebration of life that you have planned however Langdon Hall is such an awesome place and very fitting for Leeanne- well done

I knew Leeanne from smgh, she was always friendly and happy person.  11 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and Leeanne was so supportive, she would take me out for coffee and talk me down out of all that bad stuff from friends, internet that had gotten into my head.  She will never know how much she got me thru those post treatment years but she was always in my head and especially me heart.  My deepest sympathies to you and your families.  Just know she was a very amazing lady to so many people.

I met Leeanne when I worked on the Redevelopment project at St. Mary's General Hospital. She was the kindest person and a great mentor and friend. I really enjoyed working with her. She always had a smile on her face and had a joyful nature about her. She will be sadly missed. 

A friend and a role model I shared with my daughter of an intelligent, hard working, thoughtful and positive person. Your down to earth personality, unique laugh & beauty are missed already.

So sad. LeeAnne was very helpful, kind, and understanding when I worked with her during all the interesting  times.  She was an excellent team leader! I remember going to her office with Mark and having some issues , and I would be stressed, later I would leave the office calm and focused.  She was great at working through challenges.  One of my favorite memories was when I golfed with LeeAnne and two other wonderful people at one of the charity events , I wasn’t sure how it would be,  but it was really fun! LeeAnne was a positive person! I think I won the longest drive that day. I wish I could have helped her out more  at work. I am sad she has passed and I wish her family all the best! Thank you for everything LeeAnne!

I met LeeAnne in September 1978 on our first day of high school. We became fast friends and that friendship continued for over 40 years. Our two families celebrated many milestones together. The Kidds and the Baasners were and will continue to be friends forever.  Sending our deepest sympathies,

We are so saddened to learn of your loss.  We will think of Leanne as a gentle person with a kind heart.  By reading all of the memories shared by others, we can appreciate that Leanne was cherished, loved and respected by her family and her colleagues.  We think of you through this very difficult time.

When I met Leeanne, I knew I would remember her as she shared my twin sister Lee Anne's name.  But more than a name, she was warm, thoughtful, intelligent, and kind.  In every regard, she was a class act.

We spent a few fun times with Erin's family, Chudleighs and Kidds -- cooking Chinese dumplings and even trying Karaoke ... my memories are that Leeanne was always fun, always warm.

What a loss for our world.  My prayers for a great person whose live touched many and whose loss will be felt so deeply by her husband Tom, her children and so many others.

Dear Tom and Matt and family

It's taken me some time to put pen to paper and I have loved reading all of the beautiful memories posted from many people I knew over the years at St. Mary's. 

Like Bruce, I recall when Lydia and LeeAnne joined St. Mary's.   I was a VP at the hospital and Ed the Director of Nutrition and Food Services reported to me.  Very quickly we could see that Ed would have to be quick off the mark with these two new recruits to the St. Mary's team!

LeeAnne, I will always treasure the memories of working together to rebuild St. Mary's and seeing how you pulled a team together to make the work flow well - it's an art not many people have.   You used those skills at St. Mary's, St. Joseph's Health Care in Hamilton and in the many organizations you helped across Canada.    You just had that "knack" of what would work and the patience to encourage others - it's an art my friend.

I treasure the memory of our lunches a couple of times a year and my short visit (thanks Tom and Matt) just before we all said good-bye.   And thanks to Erin and Lydia for keeping me in the loop closer to our goodbye.  Like Mark, LeeAnne was a friend for life.

My deepest condolences to you during this time ❤❤

Honestly it's taken me a week to process the news that LeeAnne is no longer here with us.  We met at St. Mary's General Hospital in 2006, but I really got to know LeeAnne even better when she did my eyelashes for 2 hours a month for a couple of years. I loved my eyelashes, but more than that I treasured my time with LeeAnne. We had to be careful about how much she could make me laugh as I didn't want to be jabbed in the eye :).  As a leader, LeeAnne was never one sugar coat things - she told it like it was and as others have commented, was able to take a complex problem and somehow find a simple way of managing it.  I will deeply miss her saying "hey chick" to me every time I saw her. Tom, Matthew, Jo-Anne, and the rest of her family - you were so lucky to have her, and I am so sorry for this profound loss.

I worked with her at St Joe's West 5th and she was the most caring and compassionate person to work with, and very much respected.  She was truly an amazing lady and definitely made a positive impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.   May the happy memories everyone carries with them of her help to ease the pain of losing her.

i worked with leeanne way back in the brantford hospital days. and then again in the transition to the new mental health facility in hamilton. she was always a joy to work with with a rare style of competence and humour. we will all miss her a lot.

I met Leanne when we were in elementary school at St. Anthony's in London. We continued on to high school together where she was kind and contributed to her community in a positive way; clearly that continued throughout her life. Our paths have crossed over the years because of a dear mutual friend.  I always remember Leanne's smile and her genuine laugh. Tom, Matthew, Mrs. St, Louis, and Joanne, I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers at this difficult time.  

I met LeeAnne as a colleague through work and later as a friend through her sister JoAnne.  What a pair those two sisters were together, cooking up business adventures and hosting family gatherings.  LeeAnne and I had many heart to heart chats about our common loves, our healthcare system and her sister\my friend JoAnne.  I'm so sorry for the loss of a daughter for Doreen, a great sister, sister in-law and aunt to the McCormick family.

When you are not afraid of losing a friend through argument, but only death, that is a true and precious friendship. I miss my dear friend LeeAnne. 

I met LeeAnne at St. Mary's in 2000  when I was the Director of Research, and LeeAnne a capable leader.  We became great friends. "The Spicy Girls" is our endearing label, and we lived up to it.  LeeAnne, Lydia and I played, learned, endured and enjoyed life together for more than 20 years. It's hard to lose a BFF. It's even harder when that BFF can say to your face, "what for, Erin?" and behind your back how much she admires you. That's a dear friend hard to replace. I love you LeeAnne!`   


I first met LeeAnne in 1989 when we became colleagues at St. Mary's.  Her enthusiastic, caring, and intelligent personality attracted me the first day we met and our friendship grew deeper every year over the 33 years that I knew her.    We experienced all of life's important events together---- weddings, parenthood, and birthdays to name a few, but we also shared simple everyday life events as well.

LeeAnne always had a strong set of values and she became energized whenever she could help others-- particularly the poor and vulnerable.  I remember how excited she was to lead the international outreach program at St. Mary's.   Specifically, she and her team donated equipment and professional expertise to develop and launch a cardiac surgery program in Sudan.  She carried on in her mission to help others through everything she did, finding ways to help anyone she knew.  

I will always treasure many wonderful memories of time spent with LeeAnne and will hold them dear to my heart for the rest of my life.  


LeeAnne was a young, enthusiastic dietician when I first met her along with her long time friend and colleague, Lydia Chudleigh. We were revamping the dietary department at St. Mary’s. Ed the director at the time had the wisdom to hire two extremely competent and creative professional dieticians to help lead the way. LeeAnne would progress from there, receiving her MBA and migrating to planning roles at St. Mary’s and St. Joes Hamilton and a managerial stint at St. Joe’s Brantford. In every instance she brought a gift of enthusiasm and confidence that was inspiring and team building.  Beyond her professional skills, LeeAnne was a terrific person. She will be missed. 

My deepest condolences to Leanne's family.     I had the pleasure of working with Leeanne at St. Mary's for many years.    In fact, you could say we grew up in our careers together at St. Mary's.  Leeanne had already completed her MBA when I decided to also go down that road.   I will never forget her encouraging words and editing support with some papers.    
Leeanne  had this uncanny ability to make very large projects simple.  She knew how to break the large vision into manageable steps and guide teams through the project cycle without them even knowing they were following carefully laid out plans.     I will remember your bright smile and friendship.
When I look to the sky you will be a shining star no doubt.  

I had the pleasure of working with Leeanne at St. Joe's. She helped me transition into Health Care and always had time to answer questions and support me in that journey. Her kind spirit shone bright and my heartfelt condolences go out to her family.

I worked with Leeanne at St Josephs Hamilton W5th redevelopment. I am heartbroken to hear this news. Leeanne was imperturbable, creative, and an amazing colleague. She knew when to get serious and how to laugh. I will remember fondly late nights in the days before move into the new facility where we would all be burning the midnight oil; we'd sometimes stop to share dinner, but always stopped for dessert. Here is a work memory at a leadership appreciation event with a colleague. She will be missed and I am so sorry for this deep loss.

My deepest sympathies to Leeanne’s family.  I had the privilege  of working closely with Leeanne for many years at St. Mary’s.  She had an uncanny way of unravelling complicated situations and fostering simple solutions.  Her infectious laugh and ability to bring a smile to all in the room made it a joy to be on her team. I wish her a peaceful rest.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Leeanne on the St. Joe's West 5th project and then for a short time with The Readiness group. She was such a joy to be around, always smiling and laughing.  My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
