August 2, 1964 -- June 9, 2014
Natalie passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 49. She persevered honourably, for the last 15 months, against a Cancer that took away her left side abilities, but not her spirit.
Natalie is survived by her husband Jeff and two sons David-James and Jack; mother Catherine Dwyer, stepfather Colin MacDonald, brother Ron, sister-in-law Christine, nephew Tyler and niece Shannon. Natalie was predeceased by her father James Dwyer.
Almost as much as she loved her boys, Natalie loved her career working with children with special needs, as an Educational Assistant with the public school board at Preston Public School. Special needs children were her life's work and like no other, was able to connect with all of the children she worked with.
Thank you to all of the Doctors, Nurses, and Therapists for your care, compassion and friendship since March 2013.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, June 12th, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251). The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Clement’s Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge.
As expressions of sympathy and support, Natalie would have liked donations to Kids Ability, any children's charities, as well as service providers for physiotherapy or palliative care.
