Pauline was born in the northern community of South Porcupine, Ontario. Her parents relocated to the town of Preston where Pauline would eventually meet Ron and start their family together.
Pauline had a passion for travel and yearned to see more of the world. Her travel adventures began with trips with friends to the Caribbean and family trips to Florida. These small steps would grow until she, with Ron at her side, had visited virtually every corner of the world. Ron and Pauline, ever the outgoing couple, welcomed their friends on their globetrotting adventures.
While her travel took her far and wide, Pauline remained tightly bound to her family and was always a big supporter of her children’s endeavours and a cheerleader for all of her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but will live on in spirit and cherished memories.
Pauline leaves behind her loving husband Ronald, children Christine (Stephen), Craig (Catherine), and Curtis (Cheryl); affectionately known as ‘Lulu’ to her grandchildren Logan, Elora, Aurora, Cabel, Dashiell and Ava; step-grandma to Kevin, Athan, and Athalie. Remembered by her brother Dennis Gannon (Joan), her sister Elaine Peister (Brad), sister-in-law Nancy Schindler (the late Bob), and brother Michael Gannon (Nancy). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and her close circle of friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Munoz, Dr. Emma, and Dr. Evans. The family is grateful to the staff and volunteers at Lissard House for their attentive and comforting care and support during Pauline’s final days.
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lissard House https://lisaardandinnisfree.com/
