Reuben Brubacher

Promoted to his Heavenly home on Tuesday June 23rd in his 93rd year‎. Survived by dear wife and “sweetie” of 72 years, Anne Gingrich, and sister Katie Martin. Loving father of seven children: Ernie (deceased 2012) (Jean) Brubacher, Rose (Kenton) Young, Marvin (Kay) Brubacher, Don (Zala) Brubacher, Sharon(Harvey) Harris, Nancy(David) Switzer, David(Judy) Brubacher. Eighteen grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren also fill the 'Tribe of Reuben'. Reuben was a partner in Brubacher Shoes Elmira for several years and then owner of Superior Food Market in Clinton. In 1963, he left the retail world to serve Christ in the ministry of the Gospel. He served as pastor of several Fellowship Baptist churches in southwestern Ontario. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 264 Princess St. Strathroy. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Thursday June 21st and one hour before the funeral which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 26th. Private interment to follow at Hawkesville Cemetery.
