Robert “Bob” Philip Barber passed away peacefully on Monday September 12, 2016 at the age of 85. Many will remember Bob as the proud owner and operator of Preston Auto Supply from 1964 to 1995. He was also a member and past President of Galt Kinsman Club and K40 Club. Bob was an antique automobile enthusiast, and he enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and checking out garage sales. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Paul R. Barber (Raquel Meyer), granddaughter Amy Barber-MacLean (Matt MacLean), step-daughter Janice Sims (John Sims), step-grandchildren Lisa, Lori, Dawn, and Mark, and his special companion Delores Brownlee “Mrs. B.” Bob was predeceased by his parents Madeleine Barber (nee King) and Frederick Barber, wife Juanita Barber (nee Peckford), and his step-son Wayne Parker. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, ON, 519-653-3251) on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
