With sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Russell Cardinell announce his sudden passing on January 2, 2017 at the age of 75. Russell loved animals, watching movies, listening to music, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces, and a graduate of the SOHK. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Bonnie Cardinell, daughters Jennifer Hergott (Jamie) and Chantelle Riley (Jason), grandchildren Ashley, Jacob, Liam, and Bailey, brother Bill Cardinell (Carole), and many more extended family members and friends. Russell was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Austin Cardinell. The family invites friends and relatives to attend a Celebration of Life at the Hespeler Legion Branch 272 (26 Schofield St. Cambridge, ON) on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cambridge Humane Society through Barthel Funeral Home (519-653-3251).
