Died tragically at the age of 56 after a long, hard battle with mental health.
She is predeceased by her brother Bob (1984), her father John (2006), her mother Evelyn (2007), her brother Dennis (2007) and her brother Doug (2016)
Teresa was the beloved and cherished sister of Lori Hillis and Patti Roy (Dan).
Survived and cherished by her son Aaron Gehiere (grandchildren Taylor and Tyler) and her daughter Alyssa Woodfield (grandchildren Jackson and Ayla). Also survived by her nieces and nephews, Amanda (Jeff), Michelle (Dave), Candice (Graham), Heather, Danyel, Sarah (Brian), Alex, Andre and Joe. Loved dearly by her great nieces and nephews Brayden, Cohen, Jayce, Briggs, Wyatt, Jolie, Talyn, Ryder, Xavier, Jake and Leah. She will be dearly missed by her loyal, devoted fur-baby Mitzi.
A loving and nurturing soul, a fierce fighter who enjoyed the simple things in life like spending her days baking in the sun at the beach and baking her delicious desserts for all her family to enjoy at family gatherings. Teresa loved to blast her dance music while cleaning the house and always sang the high parts. She was known for her mysteriously brilliant white pants (even while camping) and wearing her glitter on special occasions. She put it everywhere, even in her hair! Teresa loved hiking at Webster's Falls and camping with her family at Sauble Beach annually. It was a tradition we all enjoyed doing for many years. She was always the first to help. She was a very empathetic woman who fought her own struggles while selflessly helping others. Teresa was loved dearly by all who knew her. She never missed a special occasion and would always have a card for the important day in your mailbox, even all the way to South Korea. Her laugh (and snort) was infectious and we all missed it as it gradually began to fade away.
Teresa loved lilacs, the colour purple and butterflies. She always loved saying "I saw a butterfly flutter by" just to make you smile.
