Passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in her 87th year. Loving mother of Ilonka Smith (Russell). Cherished Grandmother to Carly Smith, Richard Smith (Becky), and Great-Grandmother to Nathan. Beloved Aunt to Mark Tojici (Diane) and Great Aunt to Maddie and Max. Friends will be received at The BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (Preston) on Friday March 30th, 2012 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Family eulogies will be held at 8:00pm. Parish prayers to be recited at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge (Preston) on Saturday March, 31st, 2012 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Cambridge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to Dr. Wang at Grand River Hospital, and the Palliative care team in Cambridge that took care of Theresa in her final days. A special thank you from our family to Pat and Joanne, two wonderful nurses that took care of Theresa. God blessed our family with the community support that was given. We thank you for your care and compassion.
